Root canal treatments, also called endodontic treatments, consist of removing the infected, damaged or dead pulp from the inside of the tooth, i.e. the space inside the hard layers of the tooth.
This treatment is designed to help you keep your tooth, instead of having to extract it. Your dentist will therefore carry out a thorough cleaning of the inside of your tooth. Following your root canal treatment, the roots and cavity inside the tooth will be filled and sealed with a special dental material.
For any dental health problems, consult your dentist.
