Inflammation and loss of connective tissue attachment
Do you have chronic inflammation of the gums? We are here to help you.
Periodontitis is a disease that is generally of bacterial origin. It often occurs when your immune system is weakened. It is an inflammation of the gums that gradually spreads to the bone tissue and forms infected “pockets” between the gums, bone and tooth. As the disease progresses, other symptoms may appear, such as redness and swelling of the gums, visible recession of soft tissues, gum abscess, moving teeth and even persistent bad breath.
The most serious cases can even lead to tooth loss, so don’t wait! Fortunately, customized treatments exist for gum disease. For any gum problems, consult your dentist.
